The picture of the girls in the yellow t-shirts was their very first tournament at Kelliher in which they took first place. Greg coached them in this tournament and the Stewart girls played that year and then left for a while and came back two years ago. Shelby and Brittney Stewart are in fourth grade here and Megan, Lise, Robin, Ashley and Teresa Stewart are all in third grade. Adrianna had not yet started playing Saturday ball yet. I have a little bit of video of this tournament and is it ever cute!
The second picture is of the girls taking the Consolation Trophy at the Sweet 16 tournament in Eveleth. It is a 6th grade tournament and Shelby was the only 6th grader on the team...everyone else is in 5th grade. They won their first game, lost the second and won the next three to take the Consolation trophy. They beat the current Virginia team by 25 points in that tournament...those were fun tournaments.
