Shelby's Little Sideline Buddy

This little guy is one of Shelby's "little cousins" and he had to be right behind the bench from the get go of the game. He isn't actually her real cousin but she is very close to his parents and their family and has known them since he was born. Has babysit him many times, goes on family vacations with them and stops to see them in Grand Rapids all the time. He started off sitting in the first bleacher behind the bench but just couldn't help himself and had to stand right behind her chair when she was sitting and intensely listened to the Coach during the time out huddles! It was so cute I had to take a few pictures....he is a little wrestler and hockey player and is going to be quite the athlete himself.

I have to share a little story about him as he says some of the funniest and actually very intelligent things sometimes....Shelby was visiting them a couple of months ago and she and Cain had gone out to her car for something. She had a "bling" tassel in her senior class colors hanging from the mirror and when Cain saw it, he said "you graduated already?" and she said no and explained that they could order it early and just have it to show off in their cars, etc. He looked at her and said "Well, don't you think that's a false statement?!!!" She laughed and just shook her head....I thought it was so cute! For him to think that way is way beyond his years...

Anyway, you can see that he is standing behind before the game started, then during the huddle and at the end of the game when she was done playing. He never left her....
