Huskies Take Down the Braves

The Lady Huskies ran over their first hurdle tonight, taking down the Braves in true Lady Huskie fashion....the final score was 76-41 and there were four girls in double digits tonight. Andi with 20, Shelby and Megan both had 16 tonight and Annalise had 11. Theresa, who played ill tonight, had 6.

The highlight for me was Adrianna's behind the back pass to Shelby who got the bucket and drew a foul...and got the &1. It was fun!

We watched the Ely/Cook game before ours and I actually thought Ely would take it but Cook came out in the second half and played much more aggressive and was able to steal the ball on bad passes and get points off of those turnovers....I think the final score was 48-46.

There was a full house tonight of Huskie fans and many Dora Lakers made the trek for our late game which was nice to see. We didn't get home until almost 11:00! Also lots of family and friends of ours from the Grand Rapids area came to watch Shelby play tonight...one of the boys from her youth group (but also family friends) said it was he very first varsity basketball game! He is 15! I think he enjoyed it a little.....and Shelby was happy to see them there.

I love the pictures before the game where Andi is rubbing her teammates backs with Shelby sitting on her lap, which is the usual routine for them, then getting fired up in the huddle and just the silliness in the huddle before the game begins...they are having such a wonderful year together and it shows in these pictures just how close they all are...
