I got this quote from Auntie Delores today and loved it...she is the Queen of Quotes and is full of life, always on the go, has the best stories and tries her darndest to live life to the fullest! She is the sister of Rodney, my husband's father, who passed away unexpectantly this past October. He was a man's man and was truly loved by this community and touched so many people's lives...there were about 350 that attended his funeral. It has really bothered Shelby that he is not here to watch her play her senior year and has told me that she prays and thinks about her grandpa during the playing of the National Anthem at each game. It meant alot to her when he was able to attend some of her games. Her Grandma Max hasn't missed a home game this year and has been working her schedule so that she can attend every tournament game and of course take time off if they are fortunate enough to make the trip to State. She has all of the dates marked down and scheduled to take them off when and if the time comes....
Auntie Delores' Quote:
Motto to Live By
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming, "Woo Hoo, what a ride!"
I just loved it and what a great way to think about living your life....told ya she's a hoot!
