Congratulations to Joseph "Bubba" Jacobson and Brittney Stewart for being crowned 2009 Sweetheart King and Queen!! Bubba plays basketball on the boys' team and Brittney is of course the only other senior on the team with Shelby and a senior captain also.
It was a very nice ceremony with a funny 70's theme and the little 5th graders reading their poem to each candidate. Bubba is about 6'5" and his little poetry reader is the tiniest 5th grader you will ever see and a little doll! It was so cute...
Shelby and Drew Francisco are the reigning Homecoming King and Queen and crowned the winners so it was fun to see them all dressed up again. The court were "supposed" to dance and be silly during one of the songs that was played, and Shelby was the only one that got into the music! She tried to get the others' going but no one would budge....I was proud of my crazy little girl and she had us laughing so that was also a highlight for me. I love her outlook on life and that she is not afraid to be herself and have a little fun out there!
