Bigfork Takes Round 3 Over Nashwauk

The Lady Huskies defeated the Lady Spartans in their third round this season by a score of 52-45. The Lady Spartans were ahead at the half, 25-23. There were lots of people from both communities but I think Nashwauk might have had a few more than Bigfork. Some people didn't realize the game started at 6:00 so that might have been a factor. All in all, it was a good game that kept everyone on their toes.

I thought Bigfork actually missed alot of shots in both halves but kept their composure and pulled out the win. I knew Nashwauk was going to come in and fight hard and they did just that. It was a good, physical game that the girls needed to get ready for tournaments. They have had too many easy games this season, so this was what the doctor ordered!

Shelby had 19, Megan 18, Andi 10 and Lise 5...I don't know what the Lady Spartans had but would be interested to know what Kingsbury and Sletten had as they both had good games tonight.

The girls will need to defeat Littlefork-Big Falls on Thursday night to actually win the conference but it shouldn't be a problem as they are not having the best year and have won maybe two games so far. So we can't say they won the Conference yet, but are really close.

Congrats Lady Huskies on an important win tonight!
