The Lady Huskies handily defeated the Lady Vikings tonight by 70 points, 87-17. The first time around the score was 86-16, a difference of 60 points. Lots of girls got some needed playing time to get ready for tournaments and Kate Dullard had double figures tonight with 14 points! Way to go Katie Bear!
I believe the score at the half was 60-8. Four of the starting five played little into the second half and gave the bench some good minutes tonight. They did a good job of taking care of the ball, passing and shooting...Adrianna led all scorers tonight with 24 and two three's, Shelby had 22 with four three's, Lise had 16, Kate 14, Megan 6, Julia 4, and Carolyn 2. That adds up to 88, but two people had the same points so I don't know where they were off.
At halftime the little Saturday Ball girls played and were very fun to watch! I got some really cute pictures and will go through them tomorrow sometime. I have to run to town so it will probably be later in the day.
Coach Powell was also honored tonight for being voted Coach of the Year for Section 7A. He was given a nice photo that all the girls and coaches signed and of course cake and balloons and a nice board with photos of him coaching the different teams over the years. It was very nice...I got a cute photo (with awful lighting) and will put that up tomorrow also.
