Tomorrow night the Lady Huskies will face off with the Lady Spartans in their third contest of the 2008-2009 season. Last year we played them three times also, and won three times, 67-49 (Hibbing tourn), 46-35 (home) and 53-47 (away). This year the scores have been 60-25 (Hibbing tourn) and 69-50 (away).
This year this third game will decide the Northern Lakes Conference title as we are tied in the conference. They play Deer River only once but because they beat them (by two) they get two points for that win. Their loss to us at Nashwauk counted for -1 and they need to beat us to win the conference since we lost one of our two games to Deer River.
So you can bet they will come with guns a blazin' and it's a very good thing we have home court advantage as our girls do not play well at their gym. I believe this would be their first Conference title so it is very important to them...we have won the title two years in a row and really don't want to give up the title just yet. AND it is a big Section game and will determine seeding in the Section come tournament time.
SO....EVERYONE PLEASE COME TO THE GAME TOMORROW NIGHT IN BIGFORK AND SUPPORT YOUR LADY HUSKIES!!!! There is no school tomorrow so the JV will play at 4:30 and the Varsity will play at 6:00pm.
Please come out and cheer LOUD for the girls! They need to have your support! Bring a few friends too! It will be broadcast on KMFY, but forget about that and come out to watch the game live!
