The girls had their meeting today and good numbers showed up....have some new girls playing this year and a couple moving back to Bigfork from Arizona after about 4 years. Both played when they lived here before and both were good ball players. It will be interesting to see how they play ball in Arizona!
Lots of boys and girls staying after school to lift weights and shoot around on their own. The senior girls are pumped and ready to go....that is a good sign! When the coach asked what record will you settle for this year out of 26 games, 23-3? One senior said we will only settle for 26-0! They certainly have the ability this year and it's good to hear they are thinking that way before practices have even started.
I had to order Shelby new ankle braces tonight. We are going to try some different ones that seem more sturdy than the ones from last year. She wore those out during AAU anyway! She got an invitation to play AAU for the MN Stars next spring. It is by invitation only and an "elite" club so it will be interesting. We sent the paperwork in as they want to get their rosters in line this month.
