The girls played in various summer tournament and the team camp in Moorhead, MN and were pretty successful with a first place at the Walker 16-team tournament in June. They also participated in the Breakdown tournament in Grand Rapids and took second at the Barnum tournament in June, losing to Barnum by 5 points.
The girls were invited to participate in the Sweet 16 tournament in August where the top four teams from each class are invited to play. The girls were short-handed but played very well. They lost their first three games but beat Hancock in their last game by 30 points. Hancock placed second in state last year in Single A, so they were pretty excited about that win. Everyone was shooting well that day...
