Last year's season was a very fun and exciting one with the Lady Huskies breaking the school record with most wins, most wins in a row and also had their most successful season in girls' basketball at Bigfork High School ending with 27 wins and 3 losses.The girls also won the Northern Lakes Conference with a record of 10-0! The highlight of the season had to be the game against #1 ranked Barnum in the semi-final Section 7A tournament game, winning in double digits, 46-35....one of the most exciting basketball games I have ever attended and to come in as the underdog and win in the fashion that the girls did, was simply exhilerating to say the least! What a game they played for their fans at the Hibbing Memorial Arena.Unfortunately, the girls lost to Chisholm in the Section 7A Championship game and were just one game shy reaching their goal of making it to the State Tournament for the first time in the girls' basketball program at BHS. It was a heartbreaker, especially for the three seniors, Nicolle, Jordan and Karla. They all played their hearts out and had plenty to be proud of! Here are a few pictures from the Barnum game...
